The Weekly Batch: Why We Don't Ship Daily

In a world of Next-Day Delivery, the planet pays the price. Constant availability requires constant logistics, half-empty delivery vans, and high-energy warehouse operations.

We do things differently. We ship once a week, every Wednesday.

Why the Wednesday Drop?

  1. Consolidated Logistics: By grouping all orders into one weekly batch, we ensure that Royal Mail isn't making a trip to us for a single parcel. They pick up the parcels in bulk or we drop them off at the post office in bulk.
  2. Zero "Idle" Energy: We pack and ship in one focused window, drastically reducing the energy footprint of your order.
  3. No Impulsive Miles: Shipping once a week encourages mindful consumption. It’s a deliberate pause that asks us to value what we buy, rather than expecting instant gratification at the earth's expense.

How It Works: The DirtBag Cycle

  • Wednesday - Monday Orders are collected and processed.
  • Tuesday: We batch-pack everything using our plastic-free, stamped kraft card packaging.
  • Wednesday: The Drop. All orders are collected and start their journey to you in one efficient batch.
  • Thursday – Sunday: We’re back on the trails, researching and prepping for the next week.

Order by Midnight Monday to get your DirtBags in the following Wednesday’s batch.

How We’re Still Asking Less

We’ve evolved from seasonal pre-orders to weekly drops, but our commitment to the planet hasn't changed. We’ve rejected the extractive "Fast-Fashion" model of the outdoor industry in favor of a Lean Logistics model:

  • ✓ Inventory Control: We only hold what we know we can sell, preventing the 15-25% waste typical of traditional brands.
  • ✓ Batch Shipping: One collection day per week reduces "last-mile" delivery emissions.
  • ✓ Plastic-Free Fulfillment: Your order arrives in 100% compostable/recyclable card, stamped by hand, not a machine.
  • ✓ No "Always-On" Warehousing: By operating in weekly cycles, we eliminate the massive energy overhead of traditional 24/7 warehouses.

Why wait until Wednesday?

Because the trail doesn't need another half-empty delivery van driving up the road. Your patience directly reduces the carbon footprint of your gear.

DirtBags are reusable, home-compostable alternatives to single-use gel packets and plastic ziploc bags. Made from ultralight bioplastic, they're designed to carry and organise your fuel and gear, then break down completely when you're done.

Large Pack of DirtBags

(8 Large DirtBags) The Large Pack gives you the ultimate DirtBag setup, 8 large reusable zip bags, made from ultralight, home-compostable bioplastic that’s designed for adventure.

Large DirtBag (16 × 18 cm) - Carry a full day's energy powder, snacks, or keep essentials dry and organised (phone, first aid, socks, etc) and carrying your used DirtBags. You will get 8 large DirtBags in this order.

Scenario - With this training pack, you can use the four Small DirtBags to each carry 30-50g of carbohydrates in the form of energy gel, energy powder, energy chew or other snack.

This would equate to covering two hours of running, consuming 60-100g of carbohydrates per hour.

You can then use the one Large DirtBag to carry your empty Small DirtBags or to hold other gear, essentials or snacks in bulk.

Use → Wash → Air dry → Reuse. When they eventually break, compost at home (TÜV certified).

Replace single-use throwaway plastic packaging that ends up in the landfill. Stay organized and fuel your way all whilst asking less of the planet.

Order before Sunday night to catch this week's drop; orders placed after Sunday go out the following week.
