DirtBags are reusable, home-compostable alternatives to single-use gel packets and plastic ziploc bags. Made from ultralight bioplastic, they're designed to carry and organise your fuel and gear, then break down completely when you're done.
UltraMarathon Pack of DirtBags
The complete ultramarathon and adventure pack (12 Small + 3 Large DirtBags) gives you the ultimate DirtBag setup. Made from ultralight, home-compostable bioplastic that’s designed for big adventures.
Small DirtBag (14 × 6 cm) - Pocket-sized for energy gels, chews, powders, or snacks. Portion your fuel precisely to match your carb needs. You will get 12 small DirtBags in this order.
Large DirtBag (16 × 18 cm) - Carry a full day's energy powder, snacks, or keep essentials dry and organised (phone, first aid, socks, etc) and carrying your used DirtBags. You will get 3 large DirtBags in this order.
Scenario - With this ultramarathon pack, you can use the 12 Small DirtBags to each carry 30-50g of carbohydrates in the form of energy gel, energy powder, energy chew or other snacks and fuel, as well as hydration, gear and equipment.
This would equate to covering 6 hours of running, consuming 60-100g of carbohydrates per hour.
You can then use the three Large DirtBags to carry your empty Small DirtBags or to hold other gear, essentials or snacks in bulk.
Use → Wash → Air dry → Reuse. When they eventually break, compost at home (TÜV certified).
Replace single-use throwaway plastic packaging that ends up in the landfill. Stay organized and fuel your way all whilst asking less of the planet.

Very nice. They're actually washable and quite puncture-resistant. It was what I was missing to replicate the sizing and frequency of consumption of commercial gels. I'm using them with candy, powders (1 flask dose / bag) and salt pills right now.

I am happy with them! They are durable and a good size. I didnt think the small bags would be any use as they are very small and hard to hold open - but I was wrong, they hold 50g of drink powder (maltodextrin for me), they had to be filled with a funnel but they poured out into a bottle ok! 6 filled small bags fit in a large bag which then goes in my frame bag. putting them in the large bag isolates them in case they open or wear through, I dont want everything in there sticky! I used another large bag for FTP cubes.. I am very happy with how successful the setup is and will be getting good use from my DirtBags! I have had other prepacked power split or wear through from the vibrations.. The DirtBags lasted a 740km gravel ride (The Wrecker).

These are great - just what I'd been looking for. Small is perfectly sized for two scoops of Tailwind and the large keeps random gear & supplies dry. And I love how light and soft they are, I can slip them into a pocket and not worry about edges poking me like with standard zip locks.

Small packets fit (in my case) 50g of tailwind powder or 6x jelly babies inside, secure and dry.
Perfect for refuelling on the go.
Not used the larger packet yet.

I used dirtbags for the first time on a charity ultra run last week. I used one large for snacks which was easy to open throughout. I also used another large and small for personal items in my running vest, both stayed securely closed and dry despite my vest becoming fairly sweaty by the end.
Looking forward to preparing my own gels in the small bags, but super happy with the first outing. Thanks Martin!
